SEMESTER STUDY Abroad PROGRAMS

The International Education Office will help you find a semester abroad program that fits your academic career path. Students should be familiar with their personal financial aid and have an idea which academic courses they personally require towards graduation prior to applying for a semester abroad. Please contact studyabroad@stritch.edu to arrange an appointment or simply stop into our office located in Duns Scotus 114.

Getting started: Students will want to complete the general Semester Study Abroad Application form, as well as the International Medical Self-Disclosure form and should ask two Stritch faculty or staff members they may have worked with or had class with to reference them by asking each to complete the Semester Study Abroad Reference form.

Please note that the semester study abroad application requires a three-page essay answering the questions on the back of the application form. Essays should be written in the same manner as a course paper and should clearly answer the questions on the application form. Essays should be submitted to studyabroad@stritch.edu and all forms should be submitted to the International Education Office.

Study Abroad is required for the following majors:         

Foreign Language: Some required courses for the major may be completed abroad. A semester abroad program or a short-term summer abroad program experience will meet the requirements for a major.

International Business: It is required that the student participate in a semester abroad program for a major. Required internships for a major may also be accomplished while studying abroad.
