*Confidentiality
All medical records and client visits are confidential. No one can have access to patient records without the written permission of the individual. The staff at the counseling center can assist students outside the setting of the confidential counseling session with a variety of academic, family and environmental concerns only when the client signs a release of information for the counselor to address the area of concern. Confidentiality is broken only in cases where a client is likely to harm himself/herself, someone else, or jeopardize the welfare of the University.
