Jubilarian Reunion Weekend Planned for June 23-24

Join us in celebrating the classes of 1961 and 1962 at the Jubilarian Reunion Weekend, June 23- Jub 12 24, 2012. Festivities will include:

Brunch at the Motherhouse with a special 1961 and 1962 presentation by University Archivist Sister Margaret Ruddy, OSF

Tour of the Marian Center
(formerly Cardinal Stritch College)

Special Mass in Heritage park, where the classes of 1961 and 1962 will be formally inducted into the Jubilarian Society)

Stritch Uncorked: A Winemaker’s Evening (reception and dinner, host by University President, Dr. James P. Loftus and his spouse Irene)

Tour of University Archives

Guided campus tours

Help us celebrate Cardinal Stritch University’s 75th anniversary at a special Minnesota alumni gathering on Sunday, June 3. The Alumni Association invites Minnesota-area alumni to an exclusive reception that will provide you the opportunity to meet fellow alumni and Dr. Peter Holbrook, newly named Dean of the College of Business and Management.

Alumni invited to log volunteer hours as part of anniversary initiative

In celebration of Stritch's 75th anniversary, a volunteer service initiative led by the University's Staff Development Committee is underway to capture the many good works being done by University faculty and staff at community organizations, churches, schools, nonprofits, local businesses, and other entities.

At the suggestion of alumna Dr. Sharon Durtka, '59, the opportunity to contribute volunteer hours has been extended to Stritch alumni. The goal is to contribute 7,500 volunteer service hours by the end of 2012. At the standard estimated rate of $20 per hour for volunteer service, 7,500 hours translates to a total contribution of $150,000 worth of service to our communities.

Alumni Board adds nine new members

The Alumni Association welcomed nine new members to its Board of Directors at its first meeting of the year on Jan. 18. With the addition of these nine new members, the Alumni Board now includes 19 directors and four officers. Joan Whitman, '87 who is serving her second of a two-year term, leads the board as its president.
