Stritch welcomes transfer students to continue their studies.

Admission Requirements

To be accepted as a transfer student to Stritch, students must:

  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above from all prior college coursework.
  • Be eligible to return to the previous institution where last enrolled. Applicants educated outside of the U.S. must follow academic admission procedures relating to English ability and credential evaluation described on the International Admissions Web page.

Please note: The Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing has separate admission requirements for nursing students. Click here for more information about these requirements.

Students interested in the Early Childhood Education - Bachelor's Completion program may be subject to separate admission requirements. Click here for more information about these requirements.

Application Process

To apply for admission to Cardinal Stritch University, students must:

  •  Complete the application for admission.
  • Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

ASSET Placement Test

Upon acceptance to the University, all students must take the ASSET Placement Test before registering for classes. The ASSET is administered by the Academic Support Center and is offered Tuesdays at 9 a.m., Thursdays at 1 p.m. and select Saturdays at 9 a.m. To register for the ASSET, please call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (414) 410-4040.

Students who have a bachelor’s degree are exempt from the ASSET Placement Test.

Transcript Evaluation

Many transfer students want to know how many credits from previous coursework will transfer to Stritch and how long it will take them to complete a degree at Stritch. Students can submit unofficial transcripts from prior colleges to have the credits evaluated and see how previous credits will transfer into Stritch’s curriculum. To request a transcript evaluation, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (414) 410-4040.

Credit for Prior Learning

Many transfer students have developed a wide variety of work or other learning experiences outside of the college classroom. Credit for Prior Learning seeks to help students turn those experiences into college credit.

Transfer of Credit

Stritch has numerous articulation agreements with two-year colleges and universities to accept credits in transfer toward a specific academic program. These agreements are designed to help students identify which courses can be applied towards a bachelor's degree program at Stritch. View a list of the agreements.

Scholarships for New Students

Cardinal Stritch University offers scholarships for new students based on academic, athletic, and musical performance.

PLEASE NOTE: Students interested in accelerated evening business programs offered through the College of Business and Management are subject to different admissions requirements and a different application process.
